| This thing is crawling beautifully! Only thing left now is to get the body mounted up and maybe see if I can get that Sidewinder down a little lower. I've got the front shocks with just oil in them and the rear is inner sprung. The front unloads too much for my liking on steep stuff, so I'm thinking I might get some light springs under the pistons. Don't tell the wife, but I tested it over the bread maker. It was the perfect size to test it's break-over ability and it works very well. The Revo GTRs give this a great stance. I'm going to try it out as is next weekend at an indoor crawling course and then see if I want to go with a DIG. Hopefully I'll get my BTA Steering link back before then, though. | |

| Thanks Gator. Forgot I posted all of that up! The wheels are made by Mayhem Engineering, and they are incredible. This is my 2nd set of those wheels and I regret selling the first set. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]The tires are 1/10 Pro-Line Badlands M2 compound. | |

| That's a DNA Slingshot chassis. They make a carbon fiber one, now, but at $70 more I figured I'd stick with aluminum! I was trying to decide between an MFM Black Widow and the Slingshot. The Slingshot comes with some nice electronics plates, complete with a mounting location for a DIG servo, delrin links, and delrin skid. I'm going to be crawling with a guy that has a Black Widow next weekend, so we'll see if I made the right choice. | |

| The original parts that I have left on there are the axles and tranny.
Here's the list of changes. I hope I remember them all.
Slingshot chassis kit TCS 4-link in rear JetBoat BTA steering kit / 4-link STRC rear lockouts and straight axles STRC knuckles and axle C's in the front Sidewinder ESC / Tekin 55t motor Spektrum micro receiver / DX3R radio DNA motor plate Axial Slipper kit Maxamps 3s lipos Mayhem Double Phatty wheels Badlands M2 Tires TowerPro 995MG servo Revo GTR shocks Jconcepts Rock Steady single cab body
Man, when I type that out, it's crazy. Didn't really think about how far it's come from the original AX-10 Scorpion Kit.

| Everything I've got on there is pretty much a result of needing a solution to a problem. This is my first ever crawler so I'm glad I started with the kit to be able to learn all of the ways each piece interacts and watch how changes affect performance. I've sold 3 other crawlers since I got this one, because this one has always been the test rig and ends up being the best as a result.
I do tend to feel the urge to upgrade every RC I get though. Gotta get every last ounce of potential out of these things!
