associated gt2

just picked up an associated gt2. it needed a little cleaning but really cleaned up nice. i will be racing it in the modified stadium truck class. im hoping that it might be a little easier then say the buggies.none the less ive wanted one of these things for a long time. it has a traxxas .15 pro in it that i peiced together. runs pretty good. still waiting to get it to the track to see if i ca get a good tune. at the worst i will have to buy an engine for it. so any way here is some pics cheers

Woo HOO dude I love mine, rc10gt tho, but man do they take a beatin, I ported and polished the AE.15, LOVE IT, I'm just a basher tho

thanks guys. how do you like the ae .15. i had a traxxas pro .15 in it but just ruined it. time for a new engine. any ideas?

the a.e. .15 is is a decent motor it moves the truck around 30-35 mph but you cant go wrong with a o.s. engine they last a little longer

was thinking about an lrp pro spec .18 i know its a little big but cant beat the price. i also want to keep it pull start. alot of the "RACE" engins are box start. i want to race it might be a little hard to get used to but if people can run brushless i should be able to do alright with it. wont be able to run in any IFMAR races but any modified stadium truck class will do.

thats a good engine also i just am a fan of the o.s. ones i have a gt with a collari .15 in it and it is insane

i have heard a little about the collari do you have a link? the little that i have heard is all good. i also like the os engins. im still trying to decide. wouldnt mind getting something totaly different though. something like a novarossi,rb concept, or the collari something made in italy.

sorry didnt get back to you sooner. i have been busy. i should be getting my new motor today and as soon as i do i will take some pics and post them. cant wait to get it going again. i ended up getting the stock .15 i wanted the lrp pro spec .18 but i was told it would be way too much for the track.

Man that looks fun indeed. So do tell what happened to the pro .15. does that have bones or CVD's on it?

it has bones. and for the pro .15 there is a hole in the crank case. it was a stupid move on my part, i had a stripped motor bolt, so i took a chisel and tried to make a groove so i could get it with a screwdriver. but i left the engine attached to the motor mount and i had a big hammer. the worst part is i have a dremel. so lesson learned.
