Don't you just hate it when you are driving your 4WD monster truck and you notice some serious buildup on the rear arms? It can add unwanted weight to your truck, and even sometimes bind the rear drive shafts and wheels. Well i know i am sick of it, so i made Mud Guards!

Since i didnt have any lexan on hand, i used some old DVD cases(this big rectangular ones). What i did was cut the size i needed for the arms (something like 4 inches in length) and cut them high enough so they went all the way to the top arm. Then i just cut out a rectangle, and shaped them from there. They need to be just small enough at one end so the rim can fit over them. At the other end, they need to be rounded quite abit in order for them not to hit the chassis when the arms articulate. Once you get them cut how you want, just ziptie them to the arms(cut holes in the material you use) using 2 or 3 zipties, and BAM you are finished!
