| Well I was asked to build a scaler by fester and this is where I'm at. Finally got almost all the parts here so I desided it was time to start the build. First off I made the frame rails from 1/4 inch lexan [img] [/img] [img] [/img] Then tied it all together with crossmembers [img] [/img] Hooked in the tranny. [img] [/img] It will be sitting way higher but the wheelbase is a perfect fit. [img] [/img] And here is where I've ended the day on it, lower rear links hooked up. [img] [/img] going to try to get more done tomorrow.

I took the body and checked the Wheelbase and then just took a ruler and drew one out the copied it. then clamped both together and used my dremal with sanding drum and made them match each other. | |

| I drove it today, all I can say is I'm sorry fester I'm truck napping it Man you're going to lo double ve this truck. I still need to take it apart an paint things up, and still need to lock the diff in the tranny and paint the body so its still got a ways to go. But now its a truck and will be nothing to reassemble anyway. I drove it today, man its great even without the tranny diff locked it was quite capable. It runs almost silent and very smooth on the throttle. top speed is rite on the money [img] [/img] [img] [/img] [img] [/img]

| Ok Fester you need to file fraud claim against the guy you got the tranny from. Its not a VXL tranny it has plastic idler geat and doesnt have mrtal diff ring gear. He lied in his add and heres the proof. I took it apart and heres what I found [img] [/img] Not that its a big a deal in a crawler but the guy was advertising it as a VXL Well on the the up dates Filled the diff with fiberglass resin, hardener and a few drops of super glue, my special blend [img] [/img] While it was hardening I got to work on the chassis [img] [/img] Tranny all mounted and getting together [img] [/img] [img] [/img] Body all mounted and waiting for color selection for paint job [img] [/img] [img] [/img]

| I think comparing a betty and a C010 short box the new truck still falls in the 1/10 scale range dont you. It would be a much xmaller truck than the betty. | |
